Best vegan ramen I have ever had. Noodles are chewy, the toppings are delicious (especially the butternut squash) and the broth was subtly sweet but pack with umami. I got a 3 spicy and it balanced out the sweetness nicely. Also added an egg for protein and to make it vegetarian. Also tried the matcha beer because why not haha and it's actually really good! Especially if you're a matcha fan. Definitely understand the hype. Will be back forsure

If you're a fan of tan-tan spicy ramen this is a great choice. Right in the middle of the pedestrian district of Japantown.

During my recent visit, I had the opportunity to sample both their signature ramen and fried chicken, and here's my take: Ramen: The ramen at Hinodeya is truly a standout. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of umami goodness. What impressed me the most were the noodles - perfectly cooked to a tender yet firm texture, they complemented the broth impeccably. Each bite was a revelation, showcasing the chef's dedication to authentic Japanese ramen craftsmanship. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or a newcomer to this beloved dish, Hinodeya's ramen is sure to satisfy. Fried Chicken: The fried chicken, while enjoyable, had its ups and downs. The chicken itself was tender and juicy, but I found the batter a bit denser than expected. I wished for a lighter, more airy coating to achieve that satisfying crunch without overwhelming the palate. However, what elevated the dish was the innovative touch of matcha salt. The subtle bitterness of matcha combined with the delicate seasoning provided a unique twist that I found quite delightful. It added complexity and depth to each bite of the chicken, making it a memorable experience despite the minor quibble with the batter. Overall Experience: Hinodeya offers a cozy ambiance perfect for enjoying a comforting bowl of ramen or a satisfying plate of fried chicken. The service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food served. Final Verdict: With its exceptional ramen and innovative approach to fried chicken, Hinodeya earns a solid recommendation. While the fried chicken batter could be lighter, the overall dining experience was delightful, leaving me eager to return and explore more of their menu offerings.

Very fast service with super chewy egg noodles. Broth is pretty flavorful !! I got the spicy miso ramen and it was a pretty good spice, very mild. The atmosphere is bustling but not chaotic since you choose from a QR code for the menu and the servers give your food pretty fast. Great for a late night ramen craving!

My go-to ramen place in the city! Wait times can vary depending on the day, but you can usually get sat pretty quickly after joining the waitlist. Usually on the lively side. Self-service as you order via a QR code, but staff is attentive and friendly. Ramen is delicious and you can modify it to your liking! A must try in Japantown.

Both the creamy vegan ramen and the classic ramen are fantastic. My 10-year-old daughter said: "I've died and gone to heaven." The online reservation and ordering system was super efficient. We had a 15 minute wait on a weekend. My favorite part of the vegan ramen was the richness of the soy milk broth. Second favorite was the crispy kale.

I've been wanting to try Hinodeya for a while so I'm glad I got to go to their Japantown location and try the creamy vegan ramen! The location is pretty self serve, you order by scanning the QR code and food is brought out pretty quickly. I really loved the broth in the creamy vegan ramen and the spinach noodles were firm and had a good chew. I also liked the slightly crunchy kale but I almost thought there were too many vegetables and the squash was a little hard. Overall, the vegan ramen was really unique and different from other restaurants but I'm not sure that I would order it again.

I'm usually not a big fan of ramen because of how heavy the broth is, so I was super excited to try this spot that my friend introduced to me because of the light dashi broth. We came at an odd time (around 10:30 am on a Sunday) so there was no wait at all. this was perfect for me. I ordered the Hinodeya House Ramen, and it was so good, especially the broth  I will say, the bowl was basically swimming in green onions because they were very generous with how much they put in  Overall, a very pleasant experience, would come back!

Quaint little Japanese restaurant in Japan town with a line of people! Gotta put yourself on the waitlist if you wanna get a table. Today, we even came at an off hour (4:15 pm), but it was still busy because the Cherry Blossom Festival was going on. We were 11th on the list, but by 4:30, our table was ready. Not too bad of a wait, but I can't imagine how long it would take if it was prime time! Once you're seated, you scan the QR Code to order and pay. This is the first time I had to pay before getting my meal, besides getting ramen in Japan when you put money in the machine to get a ticket to place your order. Usually, you pay after your meal. But I guess this would prevent dine and dashers from trying to chow down without paying. Smart! HINODEYA HOUSE RAMEN - we both chose the beginners heat level 1 (koko kara). ~ average amount of noodles, broth is tasty but light. Because it's not a Tonkatsu broth, it's less rich. This is made from bonito flakes and dashi. It comes with 1/2 an egg, tender slices of pork, spinach and bamboo shoots. Don't forget to add the fried garlic on the side! They give you a decent amount, but if you're super hungry, you may want to order extra noodles. I visited their restroom and was pleasantly surprised to see a bidet! The owners are bringing the experience you would get if you were in Japan! Nice touch!
